SITCHAASSDOWN - Shock and Awe with a Political Aftertaste
About Us
I am an avant-garde performance-artist, poet, photographer and chronic-contrarian who is currently occupying wall street.  We The SITCHAASSDOWN Focus Group Tour (SFGT) perform via my theatrical experiment "Shock and Awe with a Political Aftertaste", highlighting the irony and lies of the media, the status quo and politics as fodder dissected and fed to an interactive audience. The audience who are never spectators, are transformed and galvanized into participants.

We enjoy being a devil's advocate through oxymoronic "forth-wall-breaking" characters who reveal their humanity through "Id-induced actions" including BKWT realizing “They loved Bob (Marley) but hated ME”.

BKWT engages in BLACKface for profit in Committing that Black on Black Crime Called Blackface, a clash between minstrel-misery and a Pee-Wee Herman’s Playhouse-esk set.

400 Years (which premiered at the Bk Museum in 2011) questions the presence of injustice in the 21 century by recreating high tech lynchings, such as that decried by Clarence Thomas in 1991, referencing the recent low-tech lynchings of Troy Davis and main-street Americans-post Wall Street bailout.

400 Years' fourth-wall breaking protagonist Rhea Lized ultimately connects to the infinite power of love. After the shock of Shock and Awe, 400 Years cuts the cord of America’s conversation on race and replaces it with a conversation with the divine. As Buddhist philosopher Daisaku Ikeda implores, “Let us extinguish the
flames of hatred with a flood of dialogue.” This is our NEW Patriot Act!

We think satire is the best way to engage the rational mind.
Laugh through the pain, creating a provocative amalgam of farce and socio-political truth.

The SFGT will be administering the PRP (Post-Racial Poll), a survey about race relations given to people of all ethnic and racial backgrounds throughout the U.S.A. in 2012 to dispel myths, heal and unify Americans.
